JAPAN in Crisis….What can we do to help?

The recent earthquake and tsunami has totally wrecked this country at an alarming rate.  Japanese officials are reporting more than 10,000 people missing or unaccounted for and over 2,600 have perished (died).  Yes, we are way over here in the United States, but honestly what do you think we can do to help this country restore its lands and help families regroup and heal?  Please search your hearts and minds to answer this one; also do a little research if you feel it is needed before you answer.  Read over your comment BEFORE submitting to check for grammatical/spelling errors.

    • its terrible that japan is losing their population because of earthquakes and tsunamis. What we can do to help is donate to any shelter that made it through the wreckage / disaster by means of can goods, clothes, toys (replacement of kids toys) etc. We all know if that happend to us we would want the same care from somebody else.

  1. We can donate money. You can contact your local American Red Cross chapter & ask what their needs maybe to help out this diaster. You can also donate items. You do anything to help those in need.

  2. What I will do to help is send improtant items to them just to help them get started. I hate to see people in nd so i will donate alot of food, money an other items they would need.

  3. I think there would be a variety of ways to help them such as : using the red cross , send them supplies like food , clothing , medicine , and other resources , we could also send some of our highly trained doctors , nurses , & other to help out and at least recover from the terrible situation(: .

  4. What i would to help tjapan is that do as many fundraisers to help these people get back on track from the earthquake . To me japan i feel really bad that it happen to them . If anywhere in my mind that i would do to help them i would because if that earthquake were down here in the u s i would want someone to help me .

  5. Well, everyone deserves love, help, and hope and it’s only human to try to give someone that desire. I know we are thousands of miles away from Japan, but there are things that we can do to help, even if is small. You could start a fund and set a little money away to build over time and send it to Japan. If you’re a mother or father I’m sure you understand how hard it is to raise a family, especially after you’ve lost everything. If you have the space, you could do a foreign exchange and house a family who has lost theirs. Maybe you are struggling yourself, so all you can give them is your prayer that is the best way to help. Send cards and food; let them know you’re thinking about them. They are in mourning; let them know you care and what to help. It is good to play, Devil’s Advocate, because it lets you really go deep into your soul and want to help. It makes you think about how you would feel if you lost your wife, husband, child, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, cousin, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, friend, pet, and, or home. It’s important to have care for everyone, and we help the people we care for. Have a heart, do your part.

  6. we can donate our money. also we can pray for those families involved in the crisis. but the best thing we can do as a U.S. citizen is send our condolences and pray.

  7. Personally, I believe we can do the same for like we did for Haiti. We should start donating , & sending care packages because right now everything counts. I think we should put a lot of effort into sending books and other school items to the students over in Japan who lost their items because that could’ve been us. Also , my step-sister is stationed in Japan , & we are so happy that she is okay. I think if we, espically as students, think about if we were in that situtation we would want somebody to help us, so I believe if we could just save up money or something to send over there that they would be very greatful. Lastly, I feel that instead of us worrying about ourselves , & making sure we have the brand new shoes and clothes , we should think about them and try to help them rebuild their country.

  8. To help Japan , we can donate $$$$ , clothing , food , & ‘ other resources that can help rebuild there country . Since they have limited things , SO ‘ we should send as many resources as possible to help the people in japan .

  9. E.P.A wil probably begin to help this tragic situation we could probably send money caned goods or maybe a toy to comfort the children just about anything could be helpful.

  10. I think there is many ways that we can help.We can donate money,we can also send other good resources that can help.Just because we are so far away it doesnt mean we cant help

  11. we can support them by giveing them money to start over. we can send some kind of clean up that help get ride of destroyed buildings. just cause were so far dosent mean thing we do as much as the people that in china.

  12. I think us as the U.S. should do the what we did in ww2 when we bombed japan. bacislly we help them to get back on their feet. We should do what right after all we need japan, and japan needs us. tha wat i think about this subject.

  13. i think we can help Japan by sending them food..also i believe we can donate money..we can pray for them or even just send them a card to let them know that we are thinking about them..we are really fortunate to not be going through what they are going through so i think we shpuld try to help as much as we can even if its little.:)

  14. I think we can help Japan by donating money to the country. Also, we can give them food, clothes, supplies, and much more. We could also send Americans over to Japan to help find missing people. We could make cards and send it to them to show that we care for them. The one thing that we don’t want to happen is the nuclear reactors to explode and release radiation into the air. That can harm the enviroment and kill even more people in Japan. It can also reach the U.S. and hurt are enviroment as well. We could help the Japenese people by giving them tips and help on how to stop the nuclear reactors from exploding.

  15. The things I would do to help out in Japan is send needed items over to their country. They are going to need a lot of medical assistance and food as well. Also, helping out by repairing cities and homes, the US could donate money to them. And to add along with them trying to find family members, the AMERICAN RED CROSS would be the answer for everything needed in Japan.

  16. There are many things we can do to help Japan in their dire time of need, we are able to donate to various charities and organizations, but what I would like to do is send military ship to the country and find all the missing people. What I would do next is have them send some group of people to over and help clean up their agricultural areas and import export system.
I think these method will help in more why then one because it will help by bettering their economy and help save most of the missing people if they are found and I hope and pray they are!!!

  17. WE CAN HELP THEM BY SENDING THE SOME FOOD AND SHOES HELP THEM REBULID THEY HOMES GET THE CHECK ON SEE IF THEY NEED SOME HELP

  18. I THINK we should dought thing over there for the people like pillws. japan is one of my favort contreas so i think we should HELP!!!!!!!

  19. One day I heard on the news that the US army wasn’t even trying to put eiffered in the work to help the japenese citizens. In my head I was think “thats toooo sad, we americans should be a shame of ourselves!!!!!” In a way, we already doing what we can because were still in a resision. If I was very wealth, I would donate at less 20 milllions dollars to the RedCross to give to the Japan Relief Foundation(or something like that.)
    🙂

  20. i feel we should help support comedy clubs like laughapoolza buying there standup on netflix.Reason being they’re donating money to the japanese. So I feel that we as a nation and other countries we know of help as well like china and actors like Will Smith or Oprah Winfry yes she’s an actor everybody i know of seen color purple in america and other fondations can help. LOL….Sorry for getting off topic with this concluding sentence. They said the power plant got damage and they’re a reason why I believe so bibically speaking God doesn’t want WAR that’s why that was why it got domage in the two most shocking diasters i still can’t believe it 8.9 earthquake. 😦 🙂 :*

  21. I think we should donate things like clothes for them to wear, canned food since they don’t have anything to store regular food in to get it cold, and they don’t have a stove. We can donate shoes for them so they don’t walk around bare foot and catch something. Most of all I think they need money. So the builders and the government can have money to start over and rebuild things. It might take a while but at least they have something to start with.

  22. I THINK WE SHOULD GIVE BACK TO THE PEOPLE IN jAPAN. i THINK WE SHOULD , BECAUSE THEY WOULD DO THE SAME THING IF WE WERE GOUNG THROUGH THIS KIND OF CRISIS LIKE THEY ARE.ALSO WE COULD DONATE SHOES AND ETC.

  23. i fell realy bad for them is like hade 2.0. and it has realy effecting me becase i cant get my tv shose from japan. sence they are so far away its not mush we can do thou.

  24. we can doante fundraisers to help raise money . We can also send them whatever money we make , We can also try to donate clothes .

  25. ughh so many things…..well first we can contact big organizations that are made for these type of situations like the American Red Cross and we can help raise more than enough money to send there for people who have no shelter or anything to get by with we can also save food and water and “donate” them

  26. I think there are many things we can do to help these people. We can donate things, collect a dollar everyday from people, and ect. There are alot of ideas you can do. When i heard about this i felt so bad, i cried myself. This is what we can do to help the tsunami.

  27. I will try to create a system to donate money to them. Also we could send people there to help out. We can do a food drive too.

  28. i THINK WE SHOULD DONATE SOME OF OUR RESOURCES TO HELP JAPAN GET BACK ON IT’S FEET. IN ORDER TO DO THIS I INTEND ON GIVING SOME THINGS THAT THEY ARE IN RELLY NEED OF SUCH AS PILLOWS, BLANKETS, FOOD, AND SHELTER. ALSO I WAS INTENDIND TO GO TO JAPAN FOR MY HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION GIFT BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE EVERYBODY NEEDS A CHANCE TO EXPLORE MORE THAN ONE LANGUAGE.

  29. I honestly think we can help the people of Japan by giving our time, money, and prayers. This can give their country the hope, love, and urge to keep going.

  30. We can donate money. The one thing that we don’t want to happen is the nuclear reactors to explode and release radiation into the air. That can harm the enviroment and kill even more people in Japan. Also,We could also send Americans over to Japan to help find missing people. we can give them food, clothes, supplies, and much more.

  31. i honestly think this country is badly in need of our help.. japan deserves our prayers and donations as well. theres only so much that we can do.. like donating can foods… clothes toys..medical supplies.. MONEY.. like at this point we should be doing every thing we can like i would be terrified if georgia was in this situation and would want help too.. you know you never really know what u had until its gone and thats just something we have to think about..

  32. This is such a shock to me and my family because we have family whjo lives down there and we havent been in touch with them until today. My family and i have sent them over food and covers to keep warm ad for them to survive. I truly wish for the best for each family and how they are doing. I also tryto keep them in my prayers so that they are healthy and that they can seee another day.

  33. well i have seen so many people say donate money and i can see where that is coming from but you have to remember that were in debt an by giving our money than its not gonna help us. I think that everyone should donate food blankets toys um oh and LOTS of water.
